Why I Created This Catering YouTube Channel
The YouTube channel is where I go deeper. I walk through the real process behind the advice — the thinking, the adjustments and the small decisions that don’t always make it into a written guide. You’ll see how the same principles play out when the pressure is on, when the timeline shifts or when something unexpected happens the day of the event.
Many of the topics in the Planning Guide and Catering Topics sections are the same subjects I cover in the first series of videos. The two work together as one complete resource.
I Started the Channel for the Same Reason I Built This Site
After spending most of my career behind the scenes, I wanted to step in front of the camera and pass on what works. Not the glossy version of catering, but the practical standards and systems that turn potential chaos into controlled success. The same principle my mother taught me still guides everything: “You never get a second chance at a first impression.” That idea shaped every conference, convention, wedding and special event I managed. It also shaped how I restored our home in Mérida and how I approach painting. The channel simply continues that same thread in a different format.
I built both the website and the channel to share what I’ve learned in a way that genuinely helps people plan better events. The goal has never been to impress anyone with theory. It’s to give you the shortcuts, the money-saving approaches and the behind-the-scenes thinking that let you plan with more confidence and less stress.
